 Harry P. Edwards began building passenger railway equipment in 1917 and formed the Edwards Railway Motor Car Company in 1921. The company ceased motor car construction in 1942. In this 25 year period the Edwards' engineers were devoted to the study, analysis and experimentation that lead to manufacture of the finest Railway Motor Car available . The new Edwards Rail Car Company was re-founded in 1997 in order to meet the challenge found today, as in the past, to provide reliable and economical rail car transportation on lines where the operating cost of standard heavy weight equipment is prohibitive. Out of Edwards' vast experience, knowledge and progress comes the latest update of our "time tested" designs of the Railway Motor Car. Railway Motor Cars that fully offer reliable service for which each model is intended. Edwards Rail Cars are in no wise a compromise in design, construction or performance.
