This car will pull a load of fifty to three hundred tons, according to conditions and speed desired. It is designed to pull one standard passenger coach at a speed of 35 miles per hour or will pull three Edwards Model T-10 trailer cars. Can be used efficiently for switching purposes or ideal for use as a line car on electrified railways or for use as a maintenance-of-way car.
POWER PLANT:
MOTOR: 200 horse power Cummins B-T four cylinder diesel.
TRANSMISSION: Allison CTR-3331 Toromatic.
FINAL DRIVE: Edwards Final Drive. Power is transmitted to all four wheels of the rear truck.
GAUGE: This car can be made for narrow or standard gauge.
WHEELS: Four wheels to each truck, 24 inch diameter.
AXLES: Axles are 5 inch in diameter made of chrome nickel steel.
JOURNALS: Equipped with railroad type roller bearings.
BRAKES: Brakes are of the "straight" type. "Automatic" type will be employed when car is used as locomotive.
DIMENSIONS: Length over all is 31 ft. Width of body is 8ft. 6 in. Height from top of rail to top of roof is 10ft. 5 in.
CONSTRUCTION: Substantial steel construction throughout with hardwood interior, floor and roof covered with canvas.
OTHER EQUIPMENT: Car is heated by a propane forced air system; fuel tank of 30 gallons; air whistle; engine bell; air sanders; 12 volt electric lighting.
