FINAL DRIVE: Edwards especially constructed gear box. From this unit to the drive axle the power is transmitted by two double 100 roller chains.
POWER PLANT: The complete power plant is mounted on a inner sub frame, sprung and suspended in the forward truck of the car. The engine is below the floor level, leaving the entire floor space inside the car for revenue purposes.

WHEELS: Four to each truck. 28 inch in diameter.
AXLES: Five inch diameter made of chrome nickel steel.
JOURNALS: Standard railway roller bearings.
JOURNAL BOXES: Made of fabricated steel, located on outside of wheels.
SPRINGS: One coil spring over each journal box. Elliptic springs in each truck to support car body.
BRAKES: "Straight" type air brakes with emergency application feature. When car is equipped to handle trailer "automatic" type brakes are employed. Conductors valve on rear vestibule and handbrake.
TRUCK FRAME: Edwards special patented design made of steel channel, plates and fabricated shapes.
WEIGHT: Weight of car complete is 48,000 pounds.
BODY OF CAR:
DIMENSIONS: Length over all is 50 ft. Height from rail to top of roof is 11 ft. 3 in. Width of body 9 ft. 6 in. Height from rail to floor is 48 in. Height of floor to ceiling 7 ft. 2 in.
CONSTRUCTION: Substantially constructed of steel throughout with harwood doors, window sash and tongue & groove floor. Roof is covered with T&G boards covered with a heavy weight canvas and painted.
GALLEY COMPARTMENT: 12 ft. 9 in. in length, 9 ft. wide. Has two 36 in. sliding doors on each side. Interior is tongue & groove walls painted a buff color. Operators controls are located in the right, front corner. Seating for 4 passengers with accommodations for two wheel chairs.
DINING COMPARTMENT: 30 ft. 4 in. in length. Seating for 30 passengers at 10 tables. On one side of the car there are 5 tables that seat four each, the other side has 5 tables that sit two each. Water closet with toilet and wash basin. Total seating for this car is 32.
REAR PLATFORM: Enclosed vestibule type; trap doors over steps, dutch side doors with upper portion glazed. Operators controls in right corner.
OTHER EQUIPMENT: Car is heated by propane forced air system; 60 gallon fuel tank; air whistle; engine bell mounted on roof; conductors signal bell; tool box; 12 volt electric lighting system.
